CardiacBot
CardiacBot is the monitoring agent of Cardiac. If you see it in your logs, one of our customers monitors your website.
What it does
It checks whether a website answers, how fast, whether its TLS certificate is valid, and when its domain registration expires, and alerts the customer when something breaks.
What it requests
Only the addresses our customers configure, usually the home page, with GET or HEAD requests. It does not submit forms, log in, or follow links.
How often
At most once every 30 seconds per monitor and location, usually once a minute, plus an immediate re-check after a failure.
How it identifies itself
Every request carries the user agent below. CardiacBot never connects to private or reserved network addresses.
